PRINCIPAL
STEPHEN JONES (B ARCH)

Stephen graduated from the University of Auckland in 1994 with a Bachelor of Architecture. He has worked with heritage and conservation specialists Salmond Reed Architects in Auckland for 8 years and for classical specialists Christopher Smallwood Architects and Julian Bicknell and Associates in London for 7 years. Stephen has travelled extensively throughout Europe, Central Asia, China and the Middle East, returning to New Zealand in 2004 and becoming a Registered Architect in 2006. Stephen established Stephen Jones Architects in 2009, and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects

ANA JAUREGUI (B ARCH)

Ana joined Stephen Jones Architects in August 2016. Before moving to New Zealand in 2016, Ana graduated in 2014 in Brazil with a Bachelor of Architecture and Planning, where she has worked on a number of heritage, conservation and residential projects. Ana enjoys travelling and has explored most of South America, and loves to influence the rest of the office with her South American baking.

JUI NIGUDKAR (M ARCH Sustainable)

Jui completed her Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2012 from Mumbai, India, before enrolling at the University of Auckland to pursue her Master of Architecture (Sustainable) which she gained in 2016. Jui’s initial exposure to the industry in Auckland was through working on medium density subdivisons. Wanting to pursue her innate interest in Heritage Design led her to Stephen Jones Architects where she has been since 2020. Jui loves spending time with dogs, travelling and exploring new cuisines.

MARTY CLARK-DOW (M ARCH)

Marty graduated with a Master of Architecture (Professional) HerCons (First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland in 2021. Growing up in a 1920s bungalow in Auckland with historians for parents, Marty developed a passion for heritage architecture and conservation, which he explored through his university studies. Marty enjoys playing football, hanging out with his wife and cat, and the occasional trip to the local brewery on the weekends.

MEG HEWITT (M ARCH)

Meg joined Stephen Jones Architects in January 2022 after graduating with a Masters of Architecture (Professional) from Victoria University of Wellington. Meg is originally from Christchurch, and enjoys travelling to new places.

BEENAL KANJI (B ARCH)

Beenal recently joined Stephen Jones Architects in November 2022. Beenal graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Unitec. She enjoys being outdoors and is an avid cricket fan.

MAISY (B ARK)

Maisy joined Stephen Jones Architects in 2021, after graduating with a passion for sleeping. She is involved in all aspects of tag-team cat chasing through to cornering cats and detailed moves on how best taunt them. Before joining Stephen Jones Architects, Maisy graduated from Silverdale and is the sister of Obi. Maisy enjoys beach walking, tail sniffing, and is always on the lookout for new destinations whilst standing on the Land Rover centre console.

OBI (B ARK Loud)

Obi joined Stephen Jones Architects in 2019 after graduated from a litter in Silverdale, and has first class honours in barking at entirely inappropriate moments (when the phone rings). Obi now lives in the bucolic suburb of Mt Eden, likes chasing cats in the weekends, sleeping on couches, and attending to the cat's breakfast in morning !
