GREENWOODS TRAM STOP
HERITAGE
From around 1902, Auckland’s tram services ran from the city’s Waitemata Harbour, to Onehunga on the Manukau Harbour, through Greenwoods Corner. This tram line ran through the Greenwoods Corner until 1956.
Stephen Jones Architects were contacted by the Greenwoods Corner Business Association to undertake a study of the original tram stop, and to detail a replica which could be used as part of the Auckland Heritage Festival in 2016.
