The stone cottage is located in a tranquil farm setting one and a half hours drive south of Sydney. The original cottage suffers from very small living areas and poor indoor outdoor flow. The proposed additions and alterations include very minor changes to the original cottage consisting of opening up the kitchen, dining and sitting area.

The major work consists of creating a new pavilion to accommodate a large family area that opens onto a large outdoor patio with outdoor fireplace and timber loggia. The entrance is relocated within a new glazed link located between the original cottage and new pavilion.
