This Villa had already undergone a previous renovation, where a rear addition had been added to the property. As part of our design a flat roof dormer was added to the existing rear addition roof to create a more generous and liveable kitchen, living and dining area. We completely reconfigured the interior layout of the existing addition, and added an addition to the original house which contained an Ensuite and walk-in wardrobe for the main Bedroom.
Large sliding doors were used to open up the interior to the exterior, to connect the living space with the backyard.
The house is located within an Auckland Unitary Plan Special Character Overlay and required the renovation to be designed to meet these requirements.
